Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Cook and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently serving meals to customers
- Restock supplies and organise ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Basic knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours
- Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential
