We are looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer with at least 5 years experience to join our busy production team. The role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of production equipment that includes hydraulic presses, pneumatics, and PLC controlled systems.
Good working knowledge of hydraulics are an advantage.
The role would suit a pro-active individual looking to work in a company committed to high quality standards. Garnalex initially invested in state-of-the-art aluminium extrusion, powder coating and thermal break equipment and continues to invest to keep equipment and process at the forefront of the industry, and this position will be integral to delivering this.
The position will be working regular days with overtime available.

Role responsibilities
- The safe installation, repair, and continuous improvement of all production equipment
- Complete PPM to schedule
- Attending breakdowns and repairing machines in a timely manner
- Ensuring H&S guidelines are followed at all times and supporting H&S to perform safety tests
- Providing ongoing support to production including training the team
What skills & experience are required?
- Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a production/ manufacturing environment for at least five years
- Experience in motors and drives, testing/ investigation work
- Experience in electrical fault finding in reading schematic diagrams and control wiring
- PLC experience an advantage, but not essential
- Hydraulic experience a strong advantage
