The Role
We're looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering and capital projects across our mining and processing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on project experience while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engineering projects.
- Prepare project documentation, schedules and progress reports.
- Monitor project costs, timelines and key milestones.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Procurement and external contractors.
- Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Participate in site inspections, commissioning and project handovers.
- Maintain project records and document control.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with company standards.
- Assist with cost estimates, purchase requisitions and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You'll have:
- A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Placement, internship or graduate experience in mining, construction, manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and engineering safety standards.
