Marine Engineer
Macduff Shipyards are looking for Marine Engineers to join our team based in Macduff working on a range of vessels for the fishing, oil, salmon and windfarm industries. Some marine and hydraulic experience would be preferred but not essential. The post would suit a Mechanic looking for a career change. Work would be varied and include fault finding, repair and installation of deck machinery, hydraulics, engines and gearboxes. Work on shafts, propellers and seals, steering gear, water pumps and pipes.
Working as part of a team the successful candidate will be organised with a strong attention to detail and have strong customer service skills. You must be conscientious, proactive, reliable and motivated.
Core hours of work are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. but the ability to be flexible is desired.
