Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of trailers, rigid vehicles & tractor units. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of mechanical and electrical skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on our fleet of trailers & vehicles including preparation for MOT
- Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical experience to identify issues accurately.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as brakes, transmissions, axles, and suspension systems.
- Complete detailed records of repairs, parts used etc using system software.
- Assist with assembly or modification of vehicle parts as required.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance or similar mechanical roles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HGV systems including brakes, transmissions, steering, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle repair or electrical systems are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £35,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
