We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery.
- Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtimes to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the organisation of nursery events and outings, including driving when necessary.
- Support new staff members through mentoring and leadership to promote a cohesive team environment.
- Contribute to ongoing curriculum development aligned with early childhood education standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
- Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play.
- Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or equipment as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individual children's needs.
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. This role is ideal for proactive individuals committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children while developing their own professional skills within early childhood education.
