Join our Outpatient Behavioral Health team as a Medical Assistant supporting children and families receiving mental health and psychiatric care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities and works closely with providers and other members of our multidisciplinary team.
- Prepare patients for visits, including obtaining vital signs and reviewing medications and patient history
- Communicate with patients and families by phone and through Epic
- Support medication refills, reconciliation, pharmacy communication, and prior authorizations
- Assist providers during psychiatric or therapeutic evaluations as needed
- Support appointment scheduling, patient outreach, and provider schedule coordination
- Coordinate referrals and maintain accurate medical records
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming patient care environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Behavioral health or psychiatry experience is a plus
- Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system preferred
