The Role
The Lead Generator role sits at the very start of the commercial sales process and plays a direct role in generating new business opportunities for the business.
You will spend a significant proportion of your day speaking with UK businesses, opening conversations, and identifying whether there is a commercial opportunity to support them with their energy contracts. This is an outbound role where success comes from consistency rather than one-off results. You will be expected to work at pace, manage rejection professionally, and maintain performance across daily activity targets.

What You Will Be Doing Day to Day
- Conducting high-volume outbound calling to UK businesses with a focus on new customer acquisition
- Identifying and engaging decision makers including business owners, finance leads, and procurement contacts
- Gathering key qualification information including renewal dates, suppliers, usage, and meter details
- Requesting and securely collecting energy bill packs and supporting documentation
- Maintaining accurate and structured CRM records in HubSpot to enable opportunity progression
- Passing complete, pricing-ready opportunities to the Corporate Pricing team
- Working closely with your manager to continuously improve activity, quality, and conversion
What We Are Looking For
- Comfortable operating in a target-driven, high-activity environment where performance is measured
- Confident speaking to new people daily and able to handle rejection without it affecting consistency
- Motivated by achieving results and building a career in a performance-led sales environment
- Strong work ethic, competitive mindset, and a willingness to learn and improve quickly
- Competent with CRM systems and standard IT tools including Office 365
- Previous experience in outbound sales, telesales, recruitment, or similar KPI-driven roles is beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience in energy or utilities is advantageous but not required
