Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Assistant Duty Manager to join our esteemed hospitality team. Duties
- Assist the Duty Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise front-of-house staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of guest service.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support human resources functions such as staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all departments.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Contribute to organising events or special functions hosted at the hotel.
- Act as a point of contact during shifts in the absence of the Duty Manager, making critical decisions when necessary.
- Promote a welcoming environment that reflects the organisation’s commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Previous experience in hotel operations or hospitality management is preferred.
- Human resources knowledge including staff scheduling and training is advantageous.
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for engaging with international guests.
- Organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
