Are you a passionate, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role this September? Please note: This role is based within a girls secondary school, so applicants should be comfortable working in an all-girls educational environment.
We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a full-time, ongoing position, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.
The Roles
SEN Teaching Assistant
You will support students in the classroom, working closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils during lessons across the school.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
- Assisting students with additional learning needs.
- Supporting pupils with personal/intimate care when required.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEND team.
- Promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
✔ Previous experience working with children or young people.
✔ Comfortable providing personal/intimate care where required.
✔ Manual Handling training
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✔ Reliable, punctual and professional.
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
