Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working projects Fitter to join our team at Meiller-Boweld. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, piping and wiring HGV hydraulic equipment from leading brands such as Meiller, Palfinger, and Hiab.
Duties
- Mounting HGV hydraulic equipment, such as Skip Loaders, Hook Loaders, HGV Cranes, chassis subframes, Cement Mixers & couplings
- Follow Schematics for Automotive electrical work & follow the manufacturer Body Builder guidelines provided.
- Able to understand basic hydraulics and understand Hydraulic Schematics.
- Use of power tools day to day, such as Mag-Drill, handheld drill, impact gun, grinder and basic tooling.
- Comply with DVSA guidelines, including fitting of Lateral Protection and rear underun components.
- Work off job sheets to complete tasks.
- Use of Overhead Crane. (Training provided)
- Adhering to Health & Safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and actively promote safe working practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised environment.
- Occasional off-site work supporting our service team
Experience
- Ability to weld (Mig) - Not essential.
- Previous experience with the use of tools.
- Ability to work in a physical and demanding environment.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (preferred)
