Overview
Join Hilton Home Care as a Care & Support Worker and help us deliver compassionate, high-quality care to people in their own homes across West Sussex. As an employee-owned business, everyone on our team has a genuine stake in the company's success — you're not just an employee, you're a co-owner.
We know care work often attracts people juggling a lot outside of work too — school runs, childcare, other commitments — so we build our rotas around real life, not the other way around. Whether you want the security of a salaried contract or the freedom of zero-hours flexibility, we'll work with you to find a pattern that fits.
Why care work with us is different
- Flexible by design — choose salaried hours for stability or zero-hours for flexibility, whichever suits your life right now
- Built around school runs and childcare — many of our team are working mums, and we actively shape shifts around drop-offs, pick-ups, and school holidays
- Real ownership — as an employee-owned trust, our success is shared with the people who make it happen: you
- Local visits — care for clients in your local West Sussex community, not stuck in traffic across town
Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care routines including washing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Prompt and support with medication in line with care plans and protocols
- Support clients living with dementia or Alzheimer's with patience, understanding, and meaningful engagement
- Prepare meals suited to individual dietary needs and assist with eating where required
- Offer companionship and emotional support to help clients feel valued and connected
- Carry out light domestic duties to keep the home clean, safe, and comfortable
- Drive to client visits and accompany clients to appointments or outings where needed
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, domiciliary care, or a similar caring role is desirable but not essential — full paid training provided
- Understanding of person-centred care practices, including medication support and basic first aid
- Experience supporting older people, those living with dementia or Alzheimer's, or clients with more complex care needs
- Comfortable assisting with moving and handling using safe techniques
- Full, valid UK driving licence with a clean record and access to your own car — essential, as visits are across West Sussex
- Warm, clear communication skills and a genuinely compassionate approach
Please note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
