Beauty Tutor
Rate: £350–£500 per week, dependent on qualifications
Duration: 5 days per week for 6 weeks
Contract: Temporary
Learners: 16–19 years old
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Beauty Tutor to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to learners studying Level 1 and Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualifications within a post-16 education setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced beauty professional who is passionate about helping young people develop the practical skills, knowledge, confidence and professional behaviours required to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study within the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging theory and practical Beauty Therapy lessons.
- Teach and support Level 1 and Level 2 learners.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Assess learner work and provide constructive developmental feedback.
- Prepare learners for internal and external assessments.
- Monitor attendance, engagement and progress.
- Identify learners who may require additional support and implement appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
- Support learners in developing employability skills and professional behaviours.
- Ensure learners understand and work to appropriate industry standards.
- Adapt teaching approaches and resources to support learners with SEND.
- Support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Work collaboratively with support staff to implement appropriate learning strategies and reasonable adjustments.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity at all times.
RequirementsEssential
- Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Beauty Therapy.
- Previous experience working within the beauty industry.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience delivering training, teaching or supporting learners.
- Experience assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for supporting and motivating young people aged 16–19.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and equality requirements.
Desirable
- Experience working with learners with SEND.
- Experience supporting learners with EHCPs.
- Experience working within a college, school or other post-16 educational setting.
- Knowledge of Level 1 and Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualifications.
