Job Description
We're looking for a proactive and organised Programme Coordinator to join our Water Recycling Networks Alliance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with planning, operational, drainage, utilities, or contractor management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
In this role, you'll play a key part in coordinating our Risk Identified Sewer Cleaning (RISC) programme, proactive jetting, and CCTV activities. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and alliance partners to ensure critical maintenance programmes are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to customers and communities.

What You'll Be Doing
As Programme Coordinator, you'll support the successful delivery of planned network maintenance activities by:
Programme Delivery & Performance

Coordinating proactive sewer cleaning, jetting, and CCTV programmes to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.

Monitoring programme performance and KPIs, identifying trends and escalating issues where necessary.

Managing quality assurance processes and driving continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Reviewing asset data and infrastructure history to identify opportunities to improve network performance and customer service.

Supporting the identification and escalation of operational and structural asset defects.

Ensuring accurate asset records are maintained and network information is updated where required.

Managing contractor performance, quality standards, and compliance across your assigned operational area.

Tracking actions, risks, and issues to ensure timely resolution and programme delivery.
Planning & Commercial Management

Planning and coordinating work activities across multiple operational teams.

Liaising with contractors, alliance partners, streetworks teams, and planners to maximise resource utilisation.

Monitoring commercial performance, quality of work, and expenditure controls.

Supporting cost assurance activities and ensuring accurate reporting.

Identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Assisting with capital investment proposals and supporting asset creation processes.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

Building strong working relationships with network operations teams, contractors, and alliance partners.

Collaborating with colleagues across the wider business to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

Ensuring operational risks and service impacts are effectively communicated and managed.

Supporting a culture focused on safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and customer service
Qualifications
Essential Experience
-
Project coordination, programme management, or operational planning experience.

Experience working with commercial processes and performance management.

Knowledge of health and safety principles and safe systems of work.

Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Experience managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating delivery teams.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Desirable Experience
-
Background within utilities, water, wastewater, drainage, construction, highways, or infrastructure environments.

Experience of CCTV surveying, sewer jetting, drainage operations, or network maintenance.

Scheduling, resource planning, or contractor management experience.

Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting team development.
