Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Care
Dewsbury, Yorkshire | £16.50 per hour + excellent overtime rates | Full Time (40 hrs/week)
Are you an experienced Senior Residential Care Worker ready for your next step? Our Client, a leading provider of young people's residential care and education, is looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to join their team in Dewsbury.
The Role
- Support the Home Manager across compliance, safeguarding, quality assurance and financial planning
- Lead, supervise and develop a team, including appraisals and training
- Take charge of the home in the Registered Manager's absence
- Maintain a safe, homely environment and high standards of care
- Manage health & safety protocols and risk assessments
- Liaise with external professionals and contribute to care planning
What You'll Need
- Full UK driving licence
- Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year's experience as a Senior Residential Care Worker in a children's home
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Genuine care and compassion for looked-after children
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays
