Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment effectively to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in patient diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate records of patient examinations and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques, including CT and mammography as applicable.
- Uphold a high standard of patient care while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and sonographic techniques.
- Experience or certification in CT and mammography is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
