Edinburgh Festival Fringe Advertisement Installation Team
Out of Hand is an established Design, Print and Distribution specialist based in Edinburgh and Bristol. Working in partnership with landlords across Edinburgh we deliver outdoor advertising opportunities for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The project is to supply, install, maintain & remove external advertising (posters & similar formats) for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026. In 2025 there were over 7km of posters throughout the entire city with over 500 national and international clients, including some of the largest Entertainment Management Companies and Comedy Promoters within the industry.
The Role:
The Advertisement Installation team will make up the majority of the team in Edinburgh and will be involved in structure assembly, poster installation and maintenance, and project clear down. You will work directly under the Senior Build Supervisor, with support from the Administrative team, Operations Manager and Project Manager. You will assist in the distribution of Heras panels and feet to advertising sites in the initial stages of the project followed by the Correx poster boards. You will be working in a smaller team to construct, poster and maintain the temporary festival structures. You will receive practical training in all aspects of the project.
You will be expected to download our company specific apps onto your personal phone in order to record shifts and document the project. All members of the Advertisement Installation Team must wear company specific uniform and PPE at all times. The ideal candidate for this role should be prepared for a fast-paced team environment, where they will be working outside in all conditions, under direction and responsible for various aspects of this project.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Building the advertising structures around central Edinburgh and ferrying equipment to and from the warehouse to the build teams.
- Installing the advertisement onto structures. This will involve using our bespoke scanning software to scan posters onto the site and engaging in our Proof of Posting process, which the Operations Manager will train you in.
- Driving and assisting with the distribution or delivery of advertisement material to locations in Central Edinburgh.
- Maintaining the advertisement boards and structures, including maintaining street furniture.
- Assisting with the clearing down of the advertisement boards and project disassembly.
- As a driver, you will need to adhere to our Drivers Policy at all times
Desired Skills and Experience:

- Have experience driving/navigating through the streets of Edinburgh
Further Information:
The Project will run from Monday 20th July until Friday 4th September 2025 with an hourly rate of £14.00 per hour.
We will be running a 7 day a week operation, including extended shifts into the evening during the July and September periods.
Overtime will be available if candidates are interested and paid at an enhanced rate of 1.25 times standard hourly rate per hour worked over 42.5 hours in the week.
Any evening work undertaken between 10pm and 7am will also equate to an enhanced rate of 1.5 times hourly rate.
Vehicles / insurance and uniforms will be supplied. Please bring your own steel toe cap/safety boots.
