Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience working on diverse projects including roofing, masonry, plumbing, and electrical installations. This role offers an opportunity to work on varied construction sites, delivering high-quality craftsmanship and contributing to the successful completion of projects. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber components according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools
- Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry with precision
- Conduct roofing tasks including fixing tiles or slates and ensuring waterproofing standards are met
- Assist with masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required on-site
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure smooth workflow
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to guide construction activities
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction industry
- Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and installation of timber products
- Proficient with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and measuring devices
- Competent in operating power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and nail guns
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and construction painting is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
- Experience working on residential or commercial building sites preferred
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are highly desirable

Pay: £16.82-£25.37 per hour
