Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Support the implementation of individual care plans by following prescribed routines and documenting any changes or concerns
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote well-being.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met and promoting healthy eating habits
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with company policies
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good command of English language skills for clear communication with colleagues and those receiving care
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed in a dynamic environment
