Part-Time Accounts Assistant – Ham, Near Deal, Kent, CT14 0ED
2–3 mornings a week | 8:30/9:30am – 1:00/2:00pm / Salary depending on experience
We are a family-run fresh produce marketing business, based in Ham, near Deal, Kent, who have been trading for over 30 years.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Accounts Assistant to join our small team for 2–3 mornings a week.
The role will initially be centred around company invoicing and general accounts administration, but we are looking for someone who would like to become more involved as the role develops.
What will you be doing?
Your initial responsibilities will include:
- Raising and processing company invoices
- Using Sage Accounts 50
- Updating and maintaining our written database
- Using Word and Excel for general administration
- Keeping records accurate and up to date
- Helping with general office and accounts duties
As you become familiar with the business, there will be the opportunity to take on more accounts work and develop the role further.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally, you'll have some previous experience in accounts, invoicing or bookkeeping and be comfortable working with figures.
Sage Accounts 50 experience is preferred, but training can be given to the right person.
We're are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Organised and accurate
- Comfortable using a computer, particularly Word and Excel
- Good with numbers and has an eye for detail
- Able to work independently
- Friendly, approachable and happy to be part of a small team
- Keen to learn and take on more responsibility over time
- Driving is an advantage due to our remote location
The hours
We are looking for someone to work 2–3 mornings per week.
Ideally, we would like someone who can start around 8:30–9:30am and finish around 1:00–2:00pm, although there may be some flexibility for the right person.
This could suit someone looking for a part-time role, school-hours work, a return to work, or simply a few regular mornings each week.
We are an established family business and are looking for the right person to become part of our team, rather than simply filling a position.
