Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems across various facilities. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, then execute repairs efficiently.
- Lead maintenance projects, coordinating with other team members and contractors as necessary.
- Install new refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Repair and troubleshoot complex refrigeration units, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
- Assist in construction or upgrade projects involving refrigeration infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff or apprentices when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical knowledge related to refrigeration, air conditioning, and equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing maintenance teams or projects.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Knowledge of construction processes related to installing or upgrading refrigeration infrastructure is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).

Pay: £28,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
