Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Silicone Operative/ Silicone Pointer to join our small, family run, busy business. Previous Experience in silicone pointing/ application is highly, highly desirable. Full Training will be provided to the desired, appropriate applicant.
Full ,clean, driving licence is essential.
In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality silicone sealants and ensuring precise pointing work on internal and external joints. Working autonomously is essential and attention to detail.
Your expertise will contribute to the durability, weatherproofing, and aesthetic finish on new build developments, and construction projects as well as domestic work such as schools, universities, hospitals, offices, warehouses, recycling facilities,
Duties
- Accurately apply silicone sealants and pointing materials to designated joints internally and externally.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and priming to ensure optimal adhesion of silicone products
- Use hand tools occasionally ( power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and install silicone components effectively.)
- Feed back daily to the Director, the works carried out that day.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Conduct quality checks throughout the application process to ensure consistency and precision
Skills
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with knowledge of silicone is highly desirable
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for precise application work
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in silicone application and pointing tasks
