Aspira Education is recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEMH education setting from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a Year 7 class using a primary-style approach, helping pupils make a successful transition into secondary education. The role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys building strong relationships, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
The Role
You'll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across the core curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons to a Year 7 class.
- Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Assessing progress and adapting teaching to maximise outcomes.
- Managing classroom behaviour positively and consistently.
- Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
- Contributing to EHCP reviews and pupil progress meetings where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing reports in line with school expectations.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience teaching within a primary setting.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A creative and engaging teaching style.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for helping every child achieve their potential.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, Autism or SEMH would be advantageous.
