Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. You will support the delivery of high-quality childcare, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, meals, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behaviours, and any concerns that may arise.
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and participate in staff meetings to enhance service quality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Under 2's or 2-4 year olds depending on role
- A Paediatric First Aid Qualification (desirable)
Skills
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting; knowledge of early years foundation stage framework.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports each child's individual needs and promotes positive behaviour.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and planning activities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
- Positive can do and will do attitude
- Flexibility to adapt routines based on children's needs and nursery priorities.
- Valid driving license is desirable.
We operate 47 weeks a year (closed for two weeks over Christmas and all bank holidays, two weeks in the summer and one over the Easter holidays) and our working hours are 7.45am- 5.30pm, Monday to Friday and successful candidates must be available to work within these times, although this position is for three days a week (23 hours)
Pay: £13.00 per hour
