The Role
We are looking to recruit experienced General Builders / Multi-Trades to work across a range of residential projects.
This is a hands-on role across multiple sites, including extensions, renovations and new builds. You will be involved in all aspects of the build process, working from drawings through to completion, and contributing to projects delivered to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of construction work on residential projects
- Work across multiple sites as required
- Use a wide range of hand and power tools to complete building tasks
- Work from drawings and specifications to plan and deliver works
- Undertake a wide range of building duties, including:
- Demolition works
- Bricklaying and structural works
- Drainage and groundwork
- 1st & 2nd fix carpentry
- Roofing, studwork and boarding
- Minor plumbing, kitchen and bathroom installations
- Finishing works such as plastering, tiling and decorating
- Adapt to different sites, teams and project stages as required
- Assist with ordering and coordinating delivery of materials and equipment
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients and team members
- Take pride in site standards and support all aspects of site work, including general labouring when required
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Multi-Trade or similar role (minimum 5 years)
- Strong multi-trade experience across a range of building disciplines
- Good knowledge of building materials and their properties
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and reliability on site
- Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to get stuck in
- Willingness to travel between different job sites as required
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools and transport (van preferred)
