Duties
- Deliver tailored home care services according to individual care plans, ensuring clients’ needs are met with kindness and professionalism
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication reminders, and meal preparation
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and routines
- Use your driving skills to safely transport clients to appointments or social activities when required
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and update progress
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using simple IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe environment for clients and yourself
Skills
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to show empathy, patience, and respect
- Good understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to caregiving environments
