We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and assembly tasks
- Carry out equipment repair and maintenance to minimise downtime and extend vehicle lifespan
- Assist in the installation of new parts or systems, ensuring proper fitment and functionality
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns effectively
- Engage in heavy lifting as required when handling parts or equipment during repair processes
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or vehicle technician with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and diagnostic software
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair methods
- Experience in performing heavy lifting safely in accordance with health & safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience delivering exceptional customer service is highly desirable
