The Role
Home Support Workers provide high quality domestic assistance to promote independence and provide companionship to older and vulnerable persons.
Duties vary and can include (but are not limited to) working in a person-centred way to provide:
· Domestic cleaning
· Meal preparation
· Companionship
· Pop in visits
· Laundry
· Shopping and shopping support
This role does not undertake personal care.
You will be work closely with service users (members) and their families.
You will need to demonstrate, professionalism, empathy, and commitment.
Home Support Workers operate within Health and Social Care legislation guidelines.
Pay:
£12.71 per hour
Working Hours
This is a zero-hour contract picking up hours as we grow the home support service.
There is potential to pick up regular hours as member numbers grow, subject to availability.
You can choose which days and hours you work.
Hours offered will be between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
There is no bank holiday or weekend working required (except an initial Saturday, 9am -12.30pm induction).
Attendance at staff meetings/training on the first Monday of each month between 1.45-2.45pm is required.

What you'll need
- Previous experience in the support of older or vulnerable people in their own homes.
- Reliability.
- Empathy and a caring nature.
- Diligence in the work you do.
- Good communication (verbal and written).
- Care certificate/L2 on Health and Social Care (an advantage).
- UK driving licence and roadworthy vehicle covered for business use.
- Relevant/valid DBS clearance (for adult workforce) - if you do not hold this already, we will apply for this for you, at your expense.
