Senior Technology Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Consultant to join our growing consulting team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic technology professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, leading digital transformation initiatives, and delivering innovative technology solutions for clients across a range of industries.
As a Senior Technology Consultant, you will work closely with business leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders to assess business needs, develop technology strategies, and oversee the successful delivery of enterprise technology solutions. You will provide technical leadership while ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand business objectives and identify technology solutions that support organisational goals.
- Lead technology consulting engagements from discovery through implementation and post deployment support.
- Assess existing IT environments and recommend improvements to infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and security.
- Develop technology roadmaps that align with business strategy and future growth.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead technical workshops, solution presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
- Conduct technology assessments, risk analyses, and solution reviews.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Produce high quality technical documentation, solution designs, and project reports.
- Support governance, compliance, and technology best practices across consulting engagements.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to continuous improvement within the consulting practice.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Technology Consultant, IT Consultant, Solutions Consultant, or similar senior level role.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, and business technology solutions.
- Experience working with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems integration, and digital transformation programmes.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering technology projects.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within project delivery methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified, AWS Certified, Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, or equivalent are desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
