About The Old Hammam & Spa
The Old Hammam & Spa is an established, family-run Turkish and Moroccan Hammam and wellness spa in North London, dedicated to providing authentic treatments and exceptional customer care. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and professional environment for both our clients and therapists.
We are seeking experienced, fully qualified Massage Therapists to join our team on a self-employed basis.
Applicants must hold recognised professional qualifications and have practical experience in:
- Thai Massage
- Deep Tissue Massage
Accepted Qualifications
We will consider applicants holding one or more of the following (or equivalent recognised qualifications):
- VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapy or equivalent
- ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage or Sports Massage
- CIDESCO qualification
- CIBTAC qualification
- City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
- Recognised Thai Massage certification (e.g. accredited Thai massage school qualification)
- Other internationally recognised equivalent massage therapy qualifications
Additional qualifications and experience in the following treatments would be highly advantageous:
- Lymphatic Drainage Massage
- Pregnancy Massage
Experience in spa and beauty treatments, including facials, body scrubs, and Hammam treatments, is desirable but not essential.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised qualification as listed above (or equivalent)
- Proven professional experience delivering Thai Massage and Deep Tissue Massage
- Professional indemnity insurance (or ability to obtain prior to starting)
- Client-focused, professional approach
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Contract & Payment
- Self-employed opportunity
- Six-month service agreement
- Rates from £25 per treatment hour
- £50 minimum payment guarantee per scheduled shift, subject to service agreement terms
- Payment is based on treatments carried out
Payment Arrangements
A proportion of payments may be retained during the initial on-boarding period in accordance with the service agreement. Full details will be provided prior to engagement. Any retained sums will be released in accordance with the agreed contractual terms.
