Lyon Renovations is an established multi-trade renovation company operating across Cambridgeshire. We deliver complete home renovation projects — rendering, carpentry, flooring, and full interior and exterior work — for domestic clients throughout the region.
Due to sustained demand, we are looking for a Sales Estimator to represent the company at customer visits and manage our incoming enquiries. This is a self-employed, client-facing field role suited to a confident, well-presented individual who can build rapport quickly and manage their own schedule.
How the role is paid
This is a self-employed field role with earnings made up of a per-visit fee plus performance bonuses. You are paid £40 for every site visit you attend, so your time is always covered, with additional bonuses for successful projects. On-target earnings for part-time hours are in the region of £18,000–£24,000 per year. Full earnings details are discussed at interview.
Role overview
You will own the customer journey from first enquiry to quotation. All leads are warm — homeowners who have already contacted us — so there is no cold calling. You will manage your own diary, attend visits, assess the work, and prepare quotes using our in-house estimating system. Our tools handle the pricing, so a surveying background is not required; the priority is professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities
- Managing incoming warm enquiries and booking them into your own diary
- Attending customer visits to measure and assess the scope of work
- Recording measurements, photographs, and site notes accurately
- Preparing quotations using the company's estimating system
- Identifying additional work the customer may require and referring it for quotation
- Representing Lyon Renovations professionally and building customer confidence
Requirements
- Confident, articulate, and well-presented, with a natural ability to build trust
- Some knowledge of or genuine interest in building and renovation work
- Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle (essential)
- Comfortable working on a self-employed basis, managing your own schedule
- Full right to work in the UK
