Job Summary
We are seeking a polite and professional person to join our small culinary team for lunch only (shifts are 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm). The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of kitchen operations. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen is kept clean and tidy, following a routine cleaning schedule. You will also be expected to help with the daily pot washing duties. As part of lunch service you will be trained to prepare and plate a selection of sandwiches, made fresh to order. We will also train you in basic prep jobs, as needed by the sandwich station. We offer a competitive wage based on your experience. We offer a guaranteed 40 hours per week. In addition to regular wage you will also be included in the clubs gratuity scheme - paid out twice a year.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or gastro pub is preferred but not necessary.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. We will offer training to level 2
- Ability to work efficiently and cleanly while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
