Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with food and fluids, and assisting with feeding as and when required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition
- Engage in meaningful communication to promote emotional well-being and companionship
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff
- Engage in daily activities and encourage client participation
Requirements
- Full right to work in the UK - Please note we cannot offer sponsorship
- Holding a NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Flexibility to work shifts as needed, including alternative weekends & Bank Holidays such as; Christmas & New Year
We can offer a variety of hours to suit all, whether you are looking for part time or full time hours. Our shift times are 08:00 - 20:00 (With a one hour unpaid break)
Our minimum contract is 22hrs per week, which equates to two shifts per week. With this, we will not be able to offer a position to any candidate currently on a student visa.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
