Overview

Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
- Support the daily operation of the kitchen, including, ingredient organisation, and stock management
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Contribute to the creation of innovative dishes and menu items as directed by the head chef
- Ensure all food production activities comply with health and safety protocols
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation to minimise waste
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen environments, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and preparation
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions accurately
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
