Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of food and beverages. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and smoothies
- Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and baked goods
- Ensure all food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and processing payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
- Restock supplies and organise stock levels to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritising customer needs with excellent time management skills
- Support team members as needed to ensure a seamless café operation
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role within the food service sector
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Strong serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management to handle busy periods without compromising service quality
- Organised approach to multitasking and prioritising duties effectively
