Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality support to residents, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in a caring and professional setting.
Duties
- Support residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, respecting their dignity and preferences.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Help residents with eating and drinking, encouraging independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each resident’s specific needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in residents’ conditions using IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Participate in activities designed to promote residents’ mental and physical well-being, including recreational outings or therapeutic exercises.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact clearly with residents and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for documentation and updating resident records.
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with dementia or other complex needs is beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: £12.90-£13.10 per hour
