Peripatetic Customer Relations Manager
Small Portfolio of Nursing Homes | Mid-Market Care Provider
We are recruiting an ambitious and commercially driven Peripatetic Customer Relations Manager to support a small portfolio of established nursing homes.
This is a hands-on sales and relationship-led role, ideal for someone who enjoys building local partnerships, creating engaging events, generating enquiries and converting opportunities into admissions.
Unlike a single-site position, this role offers genuine variety. You will work across a small number of homes, supporting each location with its own local market, challenges and opportunities. You will have the freedom to build relationships, develop tailored sales plans and make a visible impact across the wider portfolio.
The Role
You will take ownership of driving private occupancy and supporting each home to achieve its commercial targets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Generating new enquiries and private-pay admissions
- Building strong relationships with local professionals, community groups, hospitals, charities and referral partners
- Developing and delivering local sales and marketing plans
- Organising events, open days and community engagement initiatives
- Conducting home tours and building trust with prospective residents and families
- Managing enquiries from first contact through to admission
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing follow-up activity
- Supporting Home Managers with competitor analysis, local market knowledge and sales strategy
- Reviewing occupancy performance and identifying opportunities for growth
- Sharing best practice across the portfolio
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in sales, business development or customer relations
- Loves building relationships and being visible in the local community
- Is confident organising events and creating new business opportunities
- Is comfortable working to targets and taking ownership of results
- Has strong communication and influencing skills
- Is proactive, organised and happy to work independently
- Enjoys variety and would be motivated by supporting several homes
- Is ambitious and wants the opportunity to grow within a developing care group
Experience within care, healthcare or a related sector would be beneficial, but candidates from other relationship-led, target-driven sectors will also be considered.
