Salary: £24,912.17 - £27,505.05 per annum
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Role Overview
The Business Co-ordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Autism Practical Support (APS). Working closely alongside the Operations Manager, the postholder will coordinate a wide range of administrative, operational, and service delivery functions that enable APS to provide high-quality support to neurodivergent children, young people, adults, and their families.
The role will be responsible for overseeing the administrative processes associated with activities, training, counselling services, and member support, ensuring services are well organised, accurately recorded, and accessible to members. The postholder will also support the coordination of Activity Workers and sessional staff, helping to ensure activities are appropriately staffed, staff fulfil role requirements, and service standards are consistently maintained.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities, respond positively to change, and support the continued growth and development of APS.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate bookings, registrations, waiting lists, attendance records, and communications relating to APS activities, events, training programmes, and counselling services.
- Act as a central point of contact for families accessing these support services.
- Ensure all associated administration is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Support effective scheduling of activities, counselling sessions, workshops, and events.
- Monitor service capacity and identify potential gaps or pressures to support effective planning.
- Coordinate activity workers, volunteers, and sessional staff to ensure activities are appropriately staffed.
- Maintain staff rotas and support the allocation of resources across APS services.
- Escalate staffing issues, concerns, or training needs to the Operations Manager.
- Promote effective communication across delivery teams and support consistency of practice.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of the charity.
- Contribute to the implementation of new systems, processes, and service developments.
- Support organisational change by assisting with communication, administration, and implementation activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline internal processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- Experience of working in an administrative, coordination, business support, or service delivery role.
- Experience coordinating activities, services, projects, staff, or volunteers.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience maintaining databases and management information systems.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements.
