Overview
We are recruiting a Production Technician to join our food manufacturing team in Brislington. This is a hands-on role producing food flavourings and ingredients, ideal for someone with experience in food production who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture products in line with production schedules
- Operate and set up production machinery in accordance with GMP and SOPs
- Maintain accurate production, hygiene, and quality records
- Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety
- Carry out CCP monitoring and participate in risk assessments
- Accurately weigh and check raw materials and finished products
- Assist with weekly cleaning, including internal and external scrubbers
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of production issues
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Manufacture all flavourings and ingredients using designated plant machinery.
- Undertake any additional tasks required to support business objectives
Shift Pattern
Due to early start times, own transport is essential (no public transport available).
- Monday to Friday only
- No weekend working
Rotating Shifts:
- Week 1: Early shift (Mon–Wed), Late shift (Thu–Fri)
- Week 2: Late shift (Mon–Wed), Early shift (Thu–Fri)
Shift Times:
- Early Shift: 4:30am – 1:00pm
- Late Shift: 12:30pm – 9:00pm
- Friday Early: 4:30am – 12:00pm
- Friday Late: 11:30am – 7:00pm
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in food manufacturing (preferred)
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Confident using a PC
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Flexible and adaptable team player
- Physically fit and able to regularly lift up to 25kg
- Own transport essential
- Full UK driving licence preferred
