Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, and lawn care
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely for various tasks such as digging, cutting, and assembling
- Using excavators and other machinery for site preparation and earthworks
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution
- Supporting construction activities by moving materials, assisting with site setup, and cleaning work areas
- Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting with gardening and horticultural tasks to promote healthy plant growth
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Previous experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of machinery such as excavators and power tools
- Proficiency in using hand tools for various labouring tasks
- Ability to operate or learn how to operate machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures and maintenance practices
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour over extended periods in outdoor environments
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to construction, gardening, or maintenance tasks
