Summary
We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team in Ipswich. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring safety and operational efficiency in line with our company's mission of dependable logistics support.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy goods vehicles.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and repair are desirable.
