Trainee Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Brighton and surrounding areas

Salary: National Minimum Wage to start, increasing as your knowledge, skills and qualifications develop
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn a specialist trade while working alongside experienced and qualified fire alarm engineers. You will receive practical, hands-on training and support, with the opportunity to gain recognised industry qualifications.
No previous fire alarm experience is required, although an interest in electrical systems, engineering or practical work would be an advantage.
As your knowledge, experience and responsibilities increase, your salary will be reviewed and increased accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified engineers with the servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Learn how to test, inspect and identify faults on different types of fire alarm equipment.
- Support engineers with small installation works when required.
- Learn how to complete service reports and other required documentation.
- Follow company procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements.
- Provide a professional and helpful service to our customers.
- Attend training courses and work towards relevant industry qualifications.
- Keep company tools, equipment and vehicles clean and well maintained.
The Ideal Candidate
- Keen to learn a specialist and rewarding trade.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard.
- Interested in electrical systems, engineering or practical work.
- Able to follow instructions and work safely.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to develop.
- A full UK driving licence, or currently working towards one.
- Lives in, or within a reasonable travelling distance of, Brighton.
