My client is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Stores / Onsite Account Manager to support the setup, organisation and day-to-day management of an onsite engineering stores operation at a key customer site in Wednesbury.
This role would suit someone with experience in engineering stores, MRO supply, maintenance spares, inventory control or onsite customer support within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stores area is well organised, stock is accurate, parts are available when needed, and the customer receives a professional, reliable and responsive service.
The Engineering Stores / Onsite Account Manager will take ownership of the onsite stores function, supporting stock control, replenishment, parts issue, supplier coordination and customer communication.
The role requires someone who is organised, hands-on and confident working independently in a customer environment. A background in engineering parts, industrial supplies, MRO, maintenance stores or value-added onsite services would be highly relevant.

Manage the day-to-day operation of an onsite engineering stores facility.

Organise stock locations, racking, bin locations, labelling and parts categorisation.

Maintain accurate stock records, inventory levels and replenishment processes.

Issue parts, consumables and materials to engineering, maintenance and production teams.

Monitor stock usage, reorder points and supplier deliveries.

Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to understand parts requirements.

Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve stock, delivery or availability issues.

Support stock checks, audits, safety checks and continuous improvement activity.

Act as a key onsite contact for the customer, building strong working relationships.

Identify opportunities to improve stores efficiency, stock accuracy and service levels.

Experience in engineering stores, MRO supply, maintenance spares, industrial supplies or onsite stock management.

Good understanding of stock control, replenishment, goods-in, goods-out and inventory accuracy.

Experience setting up or improving stores areas, including racking, labelling and stock organisation.

Exposure to 5S, Lean, Kanban, vending solutions, consignment stock or managed inventory would be advantageous.

Confident communicator with the ability to work with engineers, maintenance teams, suppliers and customer contacts.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable working independently on a customer site.

Customer-focused, proactive and commercially aware.

Experience with stock systems, ERP, vending systems or barcode-based inventory tools would be beneficial.

Full UK driving licence preferred.
