Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Pipefitters who are experienced and confident in using a threading machine to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of LTHW & CHW systems and be adept in various techniques for installation and maintenance. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring that all piping systems are built, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret schematics and layout drawings to determine the layout of systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair systems in accordance with specifications.
- Solder and plumb pipes to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, bending, and assembling pipes.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify any issues or areas requiring maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in pipefitting or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in:
- Reading and interpreting technical schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Operating power tools safely in a construction environment.
- Hold a valid and in date CSCS card
For the right candidates there will be a minimum of 6 months work.
Pay will be based on ability and paid monthly.
