Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work effectively with various hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the capability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures according to specifications.
- Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures as required.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians and roofers.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Lift heavy materials as necessary during construction processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong understanding of joinery techniques.Also able to lead a team of joiners .
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Experience in all roofing structures and dormers
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- A valid qualification in carpentry or joinery is required
- Time served joiners only
- Ability to carry out a wide variety of joinery related projects
