Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility, respecting their dignity and independence
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, clients, and their families to ensure clear understanding of care needs
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as laundry and meal preparation when required
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments if necessary (driving experience is a plus)
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of residents or clients
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Ability to follow care plans diligently and adhere to organisational policies
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary

The ideal candidate will be available to work nights, 8 pm until 8 am 4 days per week.
