We are seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our processing facility in Calvert, Buckinghamshire.
The brand-new processing plant at Calvert brings a need for a designated Telehandler Operator to assist with emptying skips of metal from the plant and covering breaks on the Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator. The plant can process up to approximately 180,000 tonnes of Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) each year from the nearby Greatmoor Energy from Waste Facility and other sources, converting it into materials for quarry restoration and recycled metals.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Telehandler safely and efficiently
- Prepare and manage IBA for processing, including forming storage windrows
- Carry out daily safety checks on mobile plant
- Meet operational KPIs
- Conduct health and safety inspections
- Report defects and carry out minor maintenance tasks
- Follow site procedures and safe systems of work
- Support general site operations as required
Requirements
- Valid Telehandler operator ticket and proven experience
- Strong teamwork skills
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
Desirable (but not essential)
- Loading Shovel ticket
- 360 Excavator ticket
