About this role
We are seeking an office administrator to provide support for Student Support and Wellbeing services with a key focus on the development, implementation and integration of the new Reasonable Adjustments Software. The post holder will be part of an administrative team which provides a range of administrative functions including supporting the key resource email accounts, the disclosure and reasonable adjustment processes, the disabled students allowance processes, and the maintenance of online and physical information resources. The role involves dealing with student enquiries, handling sensitive and personal information with confidentiality.
About you
The appointed postholder will have excellent IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases and spreadsheets. Strong organisational, planning and time management skills are essential along with effective interpersonal skills with the ability to respond to students, staff and external agencies in a helpful and flexible manner. We are looking for someone with experience of undertaking a wide variety of administrative tasks who has the ability to use their own initiative.
About the team
The Students, Support and Information Services department provides a wide range of services including a comprehensive and confidential welfare and support service for all students at the University of Chichester, ranging from practical advice to financial assistance. Support for students with disabilities and/or learning difficulties is provided by the Disability and Dyslexia service, with international support being offered by the International Student Advisory service. The Wellbeing team also offers a wider range of support services such as Student Mental Health, Health and Wellbeing appointments (via Student Wellbeing Advisers) and Counselling.
