We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our specialised healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of paediatric patients to identify their individual needs and develop tailored therapy plans.
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care strategies.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimise outcomes.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support ongoing development at home.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with registration recognised by relevant professional bodies.
- Proven experience working with paediatric populations, ideally within hospital or critical care settings.
- Knowledge of speech therapy, physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging relevant to paediatric care is advantageous.
- Experience in case management and patient care coordination is desirable.
- Prior hospital experience, including ICU or critical care environments, will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning within complex medical contexts involving critical care or specialised units.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
