Headcorn & Tenterden PO are looking for a Mobile Van Counter / Retail member, reliable and motivated Part-Time Post Office Assistant to join our friendly team starting AUGUST 2026.
Requirments:
- Must be 21 years or older (insurance requirement)
- Full clean driving licence
- Must be able to drive manual (Geared) vehicles
- Fairly fit - role involves lifting and being on your feet
- Able to work part-time hours, also to cover annual leave & sickness
Role includes:
- Assisting with Post Office Services / Retail
- Working from a Postal Mobile Banking Vehicle / Branch Counter work
- Handling parcels, cash and shop stock, with customer transactions
- Providing friendly and helpful customer service
Training:
- No prior Post Office experience required (Preferred)
- Full training on the Horizon system will be provided
- Three-week training period included
Additional Information:
- Monthly Staff Rosters will be provided
- Will include Counter work in branch, when not required on the Mobile Van
- Be able to work under pressure and on there own at times.
- To be friendly with customers and always able to help at all times.
- Driving between branches
- This provides a important service to local communities that has lost their Post Office services.
- We also run busy retail shops within the premises and it’s a essential part of the duties to keep these well stocked and that it is a kept clean and tidy for our customers.
